Youth DepartmentThe City of Refuge Youth Department, provides an opportunity for youth and young adults (ages 5 to 30) to discover their own spirituality through a progressive track which includes (5) components -- Evangelism, Worship, Ministry, Fellowship and Discipleship. Evangelism – (Acts 1:8) we teach that sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to those who don’t know Him is not only our responsibility as believers, but it is our privilege. Worship - (Matt.22:37-38) we teach by celebrating God’s presence & honoring Him with our lifestyle is an expression of our love for Him. Ministry - (Matt. 22:39-40) we teach by constantly encouraging youth to discover their gifts and intentionally creating space for their gifts to grow through ministry & mission opportunities is our way we are loving our neighbor as ourselves. Fellowship - (Eph 4:2-7) we teach the importance of family by making sure that our youth are known, cared for, held accountable, and encouraged in their spiritual journey. Discipleship - (I Cor 3:6-8) we teach the importance of mentoring. By consistently planting seeds and watering their faith, we are building up and strengthening the next generation of leaders. The City of Refuge Youth Department goal is to be consistently reaching for those youth and young adults searching for a place to call home where they are encouraged and allowed to grow as a family but most importantly to create a space for them to discover their God-given talents and their own expression of love for Jesus Christ the one who created them.
